A militant historian: Maria Lúcia Mott (1948-2011)

This article is a tribute to the memory of Maria Lúcia Mott, a historian whose name and academic research are related to the history of women, and particularly to the history of childbirth, midwives, health institutions and philanthropy. We present the historian's academic career and highlight the topics of her research and her major publications, which distinguish her as a tireless and creative scholar committed to historical research.
