The preservation programs in exotics birds, mainly those the brazilian fauna, has increased as well the nunber of surgery and not surgery problems those required general anesthesia. There are few articles in the last years that talk about bird’s anesthesia, especially in inhalation anesthesia. The goal this review paper is discusses the effects of main anesthetic protocols used in birds in the last 20 years.
