SUMMARY Reduction and immobilization of mandibular fractures (interdental space and alveolar plate) by cerdage associated with acrilic resin was performed in 8 equides. Early recuperation of the masticatory function was observed in all cases treated. This technic permited to replace the incisives tooth lost due the traumatic process. It was concluded that this device was effective, inexpensive and easily applicable for fractures in the alveolar region of the equine incisives teeth.
