Science and reconstruction in health: rupture and temporary as possibilities emancipation

The decrease of social differences through knowledge may turn into a utopia founded on the democratization of theories and practices, if it is covered by temporary emancipation. Focusing on the current discussion about science and post-modernity and capturing mainly the innovative character of this controversy, this study deepens theoretical reflections on the participative and democratizing possibilities inherent to the action of knowing. In the first part, the modern paradigm of science is criticized, above all the limiting character in which it sees and intervenes with reality. In a second moment, knowledge and rupture are seen as substrata of the emancipation of subjects. In the third part, conclusive and articulate, some criteria of scientificity dealt with in the previous topics are proposed, indicating libertarian possibilities to science at health sector. The knowledge for which one struggles would be ruled in the utopia of democratizing it, starting from the recognition of how temporary scientific certainties are.
