Determination of the pectinase concentration in hydrolysis - saccharification process for ethanol production by cassava fibrous residue

This work was proposed to determine of the pectinase concentration in process of the ethanol production by cassava fibrous waste. The results indicated that minimal concentration of pectinase was 8Kg/t fibre and 89.4% starch was hydrolyzed in process. The treatment without pectinase 72.5% of starch was hydrolyzed. The final residues may be used as high-fiber food product.
