This study reflected on the diverse ways of leadership. The leadership involves interpersonal relationship. The communication is indispensable in this process, therefore through it the nurse exchanges knowledge, it organizes the nurses' service, tracing objective with the team. In the exercise of the leadership, the professional must propitiate a favorable environment for the execution of the activities in the daily work. The leadership becomes essential for the profession, therefore to have aptitude to communicate, to solve conflicts and to have initiative are attributes that contribute for the take care.
