The article focus the knowledge of clients submitted to mitral valve implant concerning their own care, cares that should develop after hospital discharge and their participation in the construction of Agenda of Diary Cares as printed educative instrument, based on quotidian individual practice and instructions received by health staff during hospitalization. The authors do a brief rescue cardiac surgery history, of transformation happened in this field in late 50 years, of aspects that make possible detail new approaches related to care/ diary cares of this clients and nursing participation in this process.
