The knowledge of the family/accompanying about the care contact: Contributions to the pediatric nursing

It is a study about the knowledge learned by family/accompanying about the care contact and their contribution in the control of the hospital infections in a pediatric infirmary. The objectives are: to describe the knowledge of caution contact apprehended by the family/accompanying of the hospitalized child; identify the professional who provides information related to care; to analyze the contribution of the family/accompanying to prevent the spread of Hospital Infection during the internment of the child. It is a study with qualitative approach and thematic analysis. The information on the subject is provided by the nursing team and doctors during the internment. The families/accompanying do not know the meaning of contact caution, however describe preventive measures, as avoiding going into another bed and wash your hands. It appears that these subjects are guided only to what cannot be done or to what must be done which contribute to the control of the hospital infection in accordance to what was oriented to them.
