Physical exercise with rhythmic: Nursing intervention for arterial hypertension control in a municipality in the state of Mexico

A quasi experimental pretest and pos-test study without control group, the study aimed to analyze the benefits of a physical exercise program with rhythm in a group of hypertension people, the study was conducted by a group of nurses in a municipally in the State of Mexico. An intervention program in 110 hypertense patients was carried out in 20 sessions of physical and rhythmical exercise; participants agreed to take part in the study through informed consent. The data analysis was done by x² as significance test p = 0.05. We found 91.8% of them women, took part in the study, 81.8% were housewives. After intervention, systolic blood pressure showed significant decreases in systolic pressure of 8.28 mmHg and 4.72 mmHg in diastolic blood pressures as well. The physical and rhythmical program showed beneficial effects on blood pressure, as an activity in the nursing educator role.
