This article reports the process of construction of a methodology to develop a critical-reflexive process concerning the work of the nurse in unit of emergency. Once that, in general way, the work in these units tends to a fast and daily make, that difficult the identification of the necessities of the sick person, of the workers and of the service. The theoretician-methodological referential was the Capella's and Leopardi's Social-humanist Theory. The data had been collected from the observation of the field and from six meeting with nurses of the service, mediated for an instrument that was directed for the understanding of the diligent citizen about their work, the identification of the possibilities and difficulties in their execution and the reorganization of the work of the nursing. As result, was constructed a collective process for a 'way to make' of the nursing in unit of emergency.
