The workshops outline a course that is intrinsic in the development of a paradigm on madness and are part of the list of care technologies from different perspectives in the historical-chronological progress. This is an experience report deriving from the extension project called "Therapeutic Workshops for healthy life habits at the Community Center Arthur Bispo do Rosário". The goal is to support a theoretical-critical reflection on the principiological and practical approximation between therapeutic workshops and health education, according to the contemporary tendencies that rule both. It is observed that the consideration of these perspectives allows for the perception of the singularities and life histories of mental disorder patients. The development of these workshops reaffirms the relevance, the effectiveness of this methodology with mental disorder patients. It is observed that a dialogic space built between the student and the users allows critical-reflexive development to the former and the growing expression of particularities to the latter.
