Countryside Education: natural sciences education and the study of reality

In this article we reflect about the consolidation of the principles and guidelines for Countryside Education in the curriculum of Teachers Education as markers for the educational action in rural schools. We will discuss the principles of Pedagogical Alternation and Educational Field for the achievement of an emancipatory educational perspective articulated by the following elements: Science teaching, interdisciplinarity, and study of the reality in educational paths based on the theoretical contribution of Freirean dialogues. We will focus on some practice elements that have been consolidated in Countryside Education Degree in the field of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
