Youth, multiple connectivities and new temporalities

This study deals with relations between youth and new temporalities, in a digital connectivity era. We discuss the effects of technological changes in youth relationship from research data about time use in relation to cultural consumption of young people in a public school in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul). To think on those issues, we consider the theoretical framework of Carles Feixa, Carmen Leccardi, Maria Rita Kehl, Néstor García Canclini, Paulo Carrano, Juarez Dayrell and others. We focus on youth groups, on questioning time and significant subjects for contemporary youth, as role, desire for permanent connection, immediacy of the relationship, and early nostalgia.
