Avaliação do Impacto do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) sobre a Defasagem Escolar dos Alunos da Educação Especial

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the influence of public policies for school inclusion, in particular access to the Specialized Educational Assistance, over the years of school delay of special education students. In order to conduct the empirical analysis, the Propensity Score Matching method was used, based on the microdata of the Basic Education School Census - 2016. Thirteen samples were constructed according to the educational needs of the students. The results suggest a positive impact of the program, in order to reduce the years of school delay for ten disability groups, especially those with deafness. Even with the impasses faced by students, professionals and others involved in conducting AEE, it is efficient in raising learning. This study contributes to the evaluation of the program, which demands constant improvement, in order to meet the particular educational specificities of each student.
