This article brings up a thought about the literary project of EricoVerissimo, starting from his first published work, Fantoches e outros bichos,in 1932, up to Incidenteem Antares, a novel published in 1971. The starting point is the main goal of his project, which was making a cross-section of the society through literature. From one end to another, it has been almost 40 years of a deep literary production that began in the second part of modernist literature and reached contemporary literature.
