Professor and the director of Comparative Education Center at Humboldt University (Berlin, Germany), recently retired, Jurgen Schriewer is internationally recognized for his studies in comparative education. He was a professor at and the director of Comparative Education Center at Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany, and has recently retired. He was also the director of the Faculty of Education of that institution and president of the Comparative Education Society of Europe. As a visiting professor, he acted in several countries, including France (René Descartes and Paris V universities), Japan (Waseda university, Tokyo) and Argentina (San Andrés university, in Buenos Aires).
