This work intends to give an overview of the evolution of the studies related to the influence of the media and on how the Brazilian schools have adopted these ideas. The communication area proposals for mediatic training suggest a didactic approach centered on the historical-political training of teachers as well as the creation of a specific school department devoted to the citizenship debate.
