The authors discuss, in na essayistic text, the conceptions about subject and subject knowledge to the continued education proposals. Using traditional practices in philosophy, the text is constructed by the interrogation of the terms that compose the title. Analysing the limitations of the modern scientific thinking, faced by the elimination of the time pointer and for the nature reduction to the determinist laws, go forward to the understanding that while the ruptures, provided, by the happening and by the unpredictability, permit the flow of life, giving it the sense of continuity, the discontinuity characteristic of the Brazilian policies, for its constant starting again, in a "zero time", it's the foundation of the continuism.
