Weimar Constitution: A Chapter for Education

This text aims at reviewing the chapter especilly dedicated to Education in The Constitution of German Federal Republic, largely known as Constitution of Weimar, promugalted in 1919. This chapter witnessed an important moment of the growth of the role of the State as titular and warrant of education. Among other social rights, education became duty of the State and a citizens right. The chapter enphasizes free schooling, obligation, public and private Education and the religious teaching. Weimar Constitution is both a path that leads to a democratic education and a model to the Welfare State.
