UNIVERSITY AND FORMATION IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL CULTURE

ABSTRACT

The article analyzes the challenges arising from the growing predominance of the neoliberal vision and the functionalization of education in the context of digital culture and its implications for the conception of university education. The development of the text involves three topics: the first one analyzes the functionalization of education in the context of digital culture, the second one presents some results arising from the advancement of digital mediation in university formation and reflects on them, and the third one evaluates the ethical challenges of formation in the face of the advance of technopower and the digital cultural industry. It was concluded that, given the instrumentalization of reason and formation, the principle of responsibility must prevail, so that all knowledge produced has the primary objective of avoiding life risks and reducing inequalities between people.
