ABSTRACT
The FLONA Mário Xavier is a conservation area with natural and planted forests. It is located in a deforested region near Rio de Janeiro suburbs and small country cities with low number of public abactions and natural entertenaiments. This article proposes a more intensive use of this area with the location of natural trial, description of landscapes attractions and preparation of basic structure for environmental education by local communities. Some relevants species are decribed and maintenance recommendations are listed. Five interesting points are described to increase peoples knowledge and interactions with natural elements
