Abstract
The use of diazotrophic bactéria in association with rice plants is a viable alternative to the agroecosystem sustentability. However, no results were found showing the quantification of environment services from the nitrogen fixation process. The objective of this work was to evaluate the economy generate by the use of FBN process in the rice field, using the center-south region of Brazil as a model. For the estimate value, the contribution of 40 Kg. ha-1 resulting from FBN was used, according the results obtained at Embrapa Agrobiologia with the rice culture. The inoculation process with the H. seropedicae strain 11417 can give an approximate economy of R$ 179,4 million per year, for the center-south region of Brazil.
