This article discusses the resources offered by the biographic methods about life trajectory analysis, emphasizing the contributions made by hermeneutic thought, specially in the works by Paul Ricouer (Time and narrative) and Gadamer (Truth and method) on the interrelations between the experience and its symbolic articulation in the autobiographical reports, here taken to be forms of narrative. A context for these theoretical and methodological considerations is given several times in this article, the reference being a study previously made on trajectories in the environmental field, site of the research where this methodological view was applied.
