This article investigates the origin of the knowledge which forms the basis of Brazilian popular medicine. in: an attempt to understand how this knowledge arrived and was accepted by Brazilians, the discussion is centered on the way in: which elements of Hippocratic medicine are to be found in: notions such as the nature of the body, illness, foods, and particularly in: the concept of reima and reimoso.
