The eggplant hybrid 'Ciça', resistant to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Phomopsis vexans, has been well accepted by producers in the Brazilian Centerwestern region and needed to be evaluated in different Brazilian regions as well as in some Latin American countries. For this, 82 seed samples together with an evaluation form were distributed among researchers, technicians and farmers. 37% of the evaluation forms were completed and returned to Embrapa, from Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Roraima and Pernambuco states, in addition to Argentina. Experienced farmers, indicated that the main advantages of 'Ciça' are high yield, excellent fruit quality, disease resistance, earliness and better commercial acceptance.
