The imaginary ecology and the tropical paradigm: cultural lectures to rethink the epistemology and methodology of the medical and educational practices

In a philosophical way, Keyserling constructs an important concept of mental landscape, enlarged by the "paideuma" of Frobenius, would be one of the main supports for symbolic anthropology and mentalities. All this has to do with the epistemology and the methodological questions as well as with the questions related to the construction of educational and communicative practices in the medical field. From these lectures derive an ethnological and cultural search for a ethno-type. Keyserling searches for the signs of the South American ethno-type in its regional pecularities and in the crossing over with Gilberto Freire's Lusitanian-Spanish tropicalism and the syncretism of the tropics to know such formation aiming at the formulation of questions and proposals towards a social praxis. The poetic-experimental apprehension of reality has its roots in this approach.
