Voices: Popular Education about STDs via community radio

This account of the experience of running the shop Voices Pitch: talk about STD/Aids, held in Mexico City. The aim was to develop ways of dealing with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) through radio platform. Attended by 18 broadcasters and twenty health professionals, developing the following topics: STD/Aids and syphilis, voiceover, radio language, interviews, audio recording and editing. In the end, developed the themes of prevention programs and care related to sexually transmitted diseases. With this project, health professionals and experienced broadcasters the ability to understand the work in communication and, especially, to explore the potential of popular education using radio as a platform for communication with the target audience.
