Homelessness and cooperativeness: moving through the production of values

The purpose of this article is to discuss the possibility of reverting the situation of exclusion to which the homeless of the major urban centers are subject. To this end, we describe an intervention of occupational therapists that sought to establish a cooperative among the homeless; as their starting point, they relied on an intervention that adopted a healthcare perspective, understood as a life production state. The intervention, which occurred in the form of research-action, enabled the development of thoughts that may help the discussions and actions of those professionals from different fields of knowledge who are committed to reinstating, among the homeless, the condition of subjects, as well as the development of public policies concerning the homeless.
