A professional profile for the manager of local development in rural and indigenous zones

The present article has the objective of presenting a profile of what might be the formation of an agent in local development in rural and indigenous zones for Latin America. The theoretical conceptual features of local development as a trans-disciplinary strategy are presented. In the frame of globalization there is supposedly a territory immersed in a process of identity and social participation for change, where three moments are taken in account, which have a direct effect on the productivity of the community: acquisition, corporate formation and consolidation of attitudes. These appear like qualities: civic commitment, collective procedure and social integration, not only geographical, also, knowledge, strengths, needs and policies. Inviting universities to generate objectives that improve competitiveness focusing on the interests of local development. We conclude with a quantitative type model of evaluation to estimate in graduates: attitudes, cooperation and integration skills, to obtain efficient and effective solutions to the social and economic problems.
