Comparison between atmospheric pollutants emitted by a fire-tubular boiler fueled by natural gas and fuel oil number 2A

This paper is based on research carried out with the aim of identifying and quantifying the concentrations of the atmospheric pollutants emitted by a fire-tubular boiler fuelled by natural gas. By comparing the obtained data with results presented when the boiler used fuel oil and with the legislation in vigor, it was verified that the changing of the fuel type led to a significant reduction in the concentration of the measured pollutants, improving air quality and consequently the quality of life of people living nearby.
