This work is proposed to identify the occurrence of local development in a cluster located in productive Toritama, Pernambuco municipality that comes to entering the model of "new wildernesses". The methodological approach was qualitative research and data was collected through semi-structured interviews and observation. The results showed evidence of local development because provides full employment for its people in hundreds of micro and small businesses, forming an "alternative territory".
