The "chakra" and plant diversity in Morraria in Mato Grosso

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to describe management unit "chakra" and plant diversity in Morraria region in Mato Grosso. Qualitative techniques of direct observation and participant observation were used. The sizes of the "chakras" did not exceed 1.5 hectares. Informants identified 109 plant species. The "chakras," it has the functions of job offer for the elderly, optimization of labor and financial resources, alternative of food and income for families and genetic material source for the fields.
