Common themes in the Brazilian Journal of Science communication

This paper intends to identify the thematic focus of the articles published in the RBCC (Brazilian Journal of Communication Science), printed by the Intercom (Brazilian Association for Interdisciplinary Studies in Communication). It is a cienciometric study about all edition of the period. The journal was first edited in 1978 in the form of newsletter, configured as the oldest scientific journal in force, dedicated to communication studies. The article identifies some similarities with the results of a previous study on the journal titled Comunicação & Sociedade and identifies further resemblance to the table of areas of CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), indicating parameters for Brazilian researchers. This paper indicates a great approach to intrafaces (or studies regarding the common field of communication), in order to confirm the leading role of this journal.
