ABSTRACT
In the present study an update checklist of the Gastrotricha species previously recorded in the water bodies of Mato Grosso do Sul state is presented. The majority of the Gastrotricha species belong to Chaetonotidae (four genera, nine species), followed by Dasydytidae (three genera, three species) and Neogosseidae (one genus, one species). As in the state only one study was done until now, it is clear that knowledge of the Gastrotricha biodiversity is totally underestimated and poor known in the state.
