Scientific Electronic Publishing - a new concept for a new media poses a challenge and invites one to change the paradigm of electronic publications. The author briefly describes the ideas of communication since the invention of the printing press by Gutenberg until todays Internet, the ideas of Toxinology and develops the idea and the history of scientific publications. After developing, analyzing, proposing and establishing guidelines for modern publications, the writer discusses in detail the authorship systems available in the publishing market. The author delves deeply into the ideas of hypertext, multimedia and hypermedia and offers the best alternatives available about the latest authorship systems. The writer proposes the use of a cheaper authorship system available (WinHelp), discusses about the preparation of texts and graphs using the latest software, the system of image capture and editing, as well as the use of images on the Internet. Finally, the author suggests possible alternatives for future publications and the main storage systems, describing in detail options for the setting up of a system of long-distance teaching. This book was published only in Portuguese and includes a CD-ROM.
