ABSTRACT
Having Book I of Plato's "Republic" as its reference horizon, this paper intends, while briefly presenting the positions on justice, as held by Socrates and Thrasymachus, to examine their main implications to us, aiming to establish some clues about how to answer the question made in its title, namely, "how should one live?".
