State, market, and other regulatory institutions

Recent transformations of the role, dimensions, forms and relevance of the national State in the framework of the so-called globalization are examined. This is done through the building of three analytical axis. The first one regards the redefinition of the "State form". The second one points toward the links between social institutions and political organs of representation and decision. The third one focuses on the necessarily international dimension of the political forms of organization which may or ought to be conceived in order to face the complexity of the relationships between political institutions and economic innovations.
