Apathy and democratic creed

According to this article the idea that the most authoritarian citizens are also the most apathetic and that this assures a certain stability for the democratic institutions, is mistaken. On the basis of public opinion surveys in five countries it is shown that the most authoritarian, at least regarding the most direct and radical forms of participation, are as much participative as the others.
