CONSTITUTION AND INEQUALITY: RIGHT TO PROPERTY AND LAND REFORM IN BRAZIL

Abstract

This article analyzes the law on the right to property and land reform as an exemplary case for understanding the mechanisms by which the constitutional system affects the distribution of wealth in Brazil. The research examines the inclusion of provisions aiming to protect the interests against land redistributive policies and the use of the Judiciary Branch as a veto point for operationalizing these provisions.
