Abstract
In this interview, professor, researcher and editor Marta de Senna reveals her motivation to prepare an electronic edition of the novels and short stories by Machado de Assis, as well as the main dilemmas and challenges faced during the process. In addition, she comments on the specificity of editing the author's works of fiction, and the role of the notes in an edition.
