The electrophoretic analysis of sera from guinea pigs was made with complement inactivated by ultraviolet radiations. It was found that the quantity of albumin changed, and an increase of the corresponding electrophoretic area of the globulins-alpha also took place, therefore, confirming the observations made previously that the fraction of the complement destroyed by ultraviolet radiations is its second component (albumin fraction, C2).
