A contribuição das fontes de rendimento na dinâmica da distribuição espacial de renda no BrasilThe main purpose of this paper is to analyze the dynamics of spatial inequality among Brazilian municipalities from 1980 to 2000. In order to evaluate the different patterns of income distribution, the paper also analyzes the municipalities' dependence level in relation to different sources of income (labor, pensions and other sources) and its contribution to the dynamics of income inequality in the territory. Overall, it intends to highlight the important role of regional disparities in the Brazilian income inequality and the relevant contribution of non-labor incomes, especially pensions, to reduce differences among municipalities per capita household income.
