Identidade nas organizações: múltipla? fluida? autônoma?

This essay does not seek to support or consolidate a specific identity notion. We do not present a theoretical and epistemological tradition in particular. Our goal is to explore several theories and epistemological routes, in order to make organizational identity researchers aware of the multiplicity of possibilities. In this sense, we aim to instigate different ways of identity research in organizational studies, bringing "new" possible orientations to the improvement of this knowledge field. In order to stimulate further studies about identity in organizations, we propose three ideas, which at first seem discordant. We suggest the study of identity according to the focus on multiplicity, fluidity and autonomy. Each point of view can instigate researches improving knowledge on the relation between the three ideas. At the same time, we call attention to some issues, we provide elements of response to others, and we share many doubts with the reader.
