Criação de conhecimento organizacional: teorizações do campo de estudo

The present article sought to describe some theorizations about organizational knowledge, above all in relation to dimension of spaces of knowledge creation, reaching at the end presentation of conceptual framework. The main theoretical implications were the following: a) in one single organization can coexists various types of knowledge - tacit versus explicit, simple versus complex, systemic versus independent, human versus structured; b) knowledge does not exist just in the individual’s mind, requiring for its creation a specific context as far as time span, space and relationship between individuals; c) Information Technology (IT) can either contribute or make it difficult the knowledge creation process; and d) in order to enable the potentialities of innovation capabilities, the organization should have in its structures spaces that favor the informal relationship face to face, building a context of synergy in which the emotions, the experiences, the feelings and mental images be freely shared. The principal contribution of theorizations aims to orient organizations about the necessity of a better alignment between processes and structure in order to make easier knowledge asset creation that can be directed to innovation or problem solving, according to organization strategy
