Abstract in Portuguese:

A pesquisa realizada caracteriza-se como exploratória e descritiva e analisa as características formais dos periódicos científicos brasileiros, da área de Ciências Sociais e de Humanidades, indexados na base SciELO. A análise ancorou-se principalmente nos critérios de qualidade extrínsecos de 73 títulos de periódicos, referentes: às entidades editoriais, à periodicidade e tempo de existência, às fontes de indexação, às instruções aos autores e aos critérios de avaliação dos artigos. Os resultados revelam que, com relação às características extrínsecas, os periódicos dessas áreas têm evoluído significativamente e já não estão mais tão distantes, em termos de aspectos formais dos periódicos de outras áreas com maior tradição de publicação em periódicos científicos. No entanto, é imprescindível considerar que, ainda, há aspectos importantes que devem ser aperfeiçoados, a fim de possibilitar que esses periódicos possam dar um salto qualitativo ainda maior.

Abstract in English:

This research is an exploratory and descriptive study that analyzes Brazilian scientific journals in the social sciences and humanities fields, indexed by SciELO database. The analysis was performed with 73 titles and mainly based on the criteria of extrinsic quality of journals related to: editorial entities, periodicity, duration, indexing databases, instructions to authors and criteria for articles evaluation. The results show that considering extrinsic aspects, these journals have improved significantly, and in terms of formal aspects are no longer so far apart from journals which have strong tradition of communicating scientific results in scholarly journals. However, it is essential to consider that there are still important aspects that need to be enhanced to allow these journals achieve a quantum leap even higher.

Esta pesquisa estuda a declaração de fontes de insumo da pesquisa científica, mais especificamente, se esta prática acadêmica pode ser considerada um bom exemplo a ser seguido pelas organizações. Sete hipóteses abordam duas dimensões associadas a fontes de informação: origem (primária ou secundária) e natureza (dado ou informação). Observou-se que as declarações de fontes da pesquisa acadêmicas são problemáticas, a maioria feita de forma incompleta ou imprecisa. Isto não reduz a importância da prática, simplesmente indica que a academia não deve ser considerada como um espaço privilegiado, com amplo domínio e excelência na prática. No entanto, o ambiente de informação organizacional pode aprender e beneficiar-se da experiência da academia científica. A partir da análise de textos da academia, um conjunto de procedimentos foi desenvolvido, com o propósito de auxiliar pesquisadores e analistas organizacionais a elaborarem análise completa e precisa das fontes de informação declaradas, seja na comunicação científica ou organizacional.

Abstract in English:

This research studies the declaration of input sources for research in scientific communications, more specifically, whether this practice of the academy may be considered a good example to be followed by organizations. Seven hypotheses address two dimensions of input sources: origin (primary or secondary) and nature (data or information). It appears that the declaration of research inputs in the academy is problematic, mostly incomplete or inaccurate. This does not reduce the importance of this practice; it simply indicates that the academy should not be considered a privileged space, with wide dominance and practice excellence. Nevertheless, the information environment of organizations can learn and benefit from the experience of the scientific academy. From the analyses of the research sample, a set of procedures has been developed, which allowed organizational analysts and researchers to elaborate a complete and accurate analysis of the input sources to be declared in organizational or scientific communication.

Os serviços estão no centro da atividade econômica e a inovação em serviços tem ganhado crescente atenção. Dada à complexidade envolvente no processo de desenvolvimento de novos serviços (DNS), este pode ser realizado através da colaboração de uma rede de empresas. Torna-se, cada vez mais relevante, promover pesquisas globais de serviços que, concomitantemente, desenham uma pesquisa interdisciplinar e cross-funcional de acadêmicos e executivos. Esta pesquisa objetivou entender o complexo processo de DNS e como ele acontece no contexto das redes colaborativas, contribuindo para entender como as redes colaborativas podem potencializar o processo de inovação em serviços. Esta pesquisa teve início com um estudo exploratório, envolvendo quatro complexos projetos de serviços, com o objetivo de caracterizar as principais fases do processo e analisar quando as redes são formadas. Após isso, um estudo qualitativo foi realizado para se ter uma compreensão do papel que as redes têm no desempenho do DNS. Este estudo identificou desejáveis fatores de desempenho do processo de inovação, com o foco na importância da gestão da informação e da comunicação para o sucesso do serviço. O estudo mostrou que alguns fatores são transversais a todo o processo, entretanto, a relevância dos fatores se altera ao longo das fases.

Abstract in English:

Services are at the center of the economic activity and service innovation has gained increased attention. Given the complexity involved on new service development (NSD), it can be carried out by the collaboration of a network of companies. It becomes increasingly relevant to promote global service research agendas that concomitantly draw on the interdisciplinary and cross-functional perspective of academics and executives. This research aimed to understand the complex NSD process and how this process happens in the Collaborative context, contributing to understand how CNs can potentiate NSD. The research started with an exploratory study involving four service projects with the objective of charactering the main stages of the process and to analyze when CNs were formed. After this, a qualitative study was undertaken to get an in-depth understanding of CNs role in the NSD performance. This study identified desirable performance factors of NSD in the CNs context in large projects, analyzing how the factors evolve and how they influence the stages along the NSD process, with focus on importance of information and communication management to the process success. The study showed that some performance factors cross-cut all of NSD process, however, the relevance of these factors change along these stages.

Este trabalho estuda as correlações entre decisões tomadas no fim de 2009, sobre renovação ou não de bolsas de produtividade em pesquisa do CNPq e medidas bibliométricas. Para cada nível da bolsa e para cada subárea, calculamos a correlação da decisão em subir o pesquisador de nível, mantê-lo no nível original ou rebaixá-lo, com várias medidas bibliométricas, como produção total (artigos, conferências, livros e capítulos de livros), produção nos últimos 5 anos, produção indexada no Web of Science, citações recebidas por artigo, citações recebidas por artigo escrito nos últimos 5 anos, índice H, etc. Os dados de citações foram extraídos tanto do Google Scholar como do Web of Science. As correlações de cada subárea são agrupadas em cada uma das 8 grandes áreas do CNPq (Ciências Agrícolas, Ciências Biológicas, Ciências Exatas, Ciências Humanas, Ciências da Saúde, Ciências Sociais, Engenharia e Artes). Indicamos quais são as métricas bibliométricas com maior correlação, com as decisões do CNPq para cada nível e para cada uma das grandes áreas. Discutimos algumas grandes áreas nas quais parece haver uma maior coerência, através dos vários níveis da bolsa entre as métricas mais correlacionadas com as decisões.

This work analyses the correlation between decisions regarding the CNPq research scholarships (taken at the end of 2009) and some bibliometric measures. For all levels, and for all scientific subareas we calculated the correlation of the decision to raise, keep or lower the researcher's evaluation level and many bibliometric measures such as: total production (journal and conference papers, book an book chapters), production in the last 5 years, total production and last 5 years production that is indexed in the Web of Science, citations per article received, citations per article published in the last 5 years, H index and so on. We used both Google Scholar and Web of Science to obtain the citation data. The correlations are aggregated for all subareas of each of the CNPq large subject areas (Agriculture Sciences, Biology Sciences, Exact Sciences, Human Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering and Arts). We show which bibliometric measure has the higher correlation to the scholarship decisions, for each level and for each large area. We discuss some of the cases where there seems to be a coherent theme regarding the most highly correlated measure across all levels of the scholarship.

O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar quais são as principais variáveis e fatores que, na percepção de pesquisadores da área de sustentabilidade no Brasil, podem influenciar o impacto da pesquisa por eles conduzida. Para tanto, foi elaborado um instrumento de coleta de dados com 14 variáveis, respondido de forma online por 89 pesquisadores da área de sustentabilidade no Brasil. Os resultados apontam que esses pesquisadores percebem o impacto de sua pesquisa como um processo influenciado por meio de quatro fatores.

Abstract in English:

The goal of this research is to analyze what are the key variables and factors that, in the perception of researchers in the field of sustainability in Brazil, may be influencing the impact research conducted by them. Therefore, we designed a data collection instrument with 14 variables, responded online by 89 researchers in the field of sustainability in Brazil. The results show that these researchers realize the impact of their research as a process influenced by four factors.

Por meio do presente artigo, propomos conhecer e refletir sobre as recentes possibilidades de organização, representação e recuperação da informação proporcionada pelo advento da Web 2.0, tratando, aqui, especificamente, do uso da etiquetagem e da folksonomia. Buscou-se explorar representações conceituais e pretendeu-se compreender as potencialidades destes conceitos baseados em sistemas virtuais de organização e representação informacional. Assim, buscou-se refletir sobre o que leva os usuários a executar a etiquetagem dos recursos da Web e analisar como essa motivação se relaciona com o objetivo de recuperação da informação. A pesquisa apoiou-se em uma investigação teórica, com revisão de literatura sobre indexação, usuários e esquemas de representação do conhecimento na Internet. Geralmente, o que determina a utilização da etiquetagem varia entre as pessoas e os sistemas utilizados. Não é sempre que as etiquetas são atribuídas com o intuito de terem audiência e, por vezes, o que se quer é organizar os próprios dados. Entende-se, por meio deste estudo, que cada indivíduo representa um caso que requer atenção específica. Não é possível estudar, um a um, todos os grupos e perfis de usuários da informação. Faz-se necessário reunir grupos com características similares.

Abstract in English:

Through this paper we propose to know and reflect on the recent possibilities of organization, representation and retrieval of information provided by the advent of Web 2.0, dealing with here, specifically, the use of tagging and folksonomy. We sought to explore conceptual representations, we sought to understand the potential of these concepts based on virtual systems of organization and representation of information. Thus, we reflect on what it takes users to perform the tagging of Web resources and analyze how that motivation relates to the purpose of information retrieval. The research was based on a theoretical investigation with review of literature on indexing, users and knowledge representation schemes on the Internet. Generally, it requires the use of labeling varies among individuals and the systems used. It's not often that the labels are assigned in order to have the hearing, sometimes what you want is to organize the data itself. It is understood, by this study, each individual case is one that requires special attention. It is not possible to study one by one, all groups and sections of information users. It is necessary to bring together groups with similar characteristics.

Estudo sobre os conhecimentos tradicionais detidos pelos(as) erveiros(as) da Feira Livre do Ver-o-Peso, em Belém, Pará, Brasil. Em termos gerais, busca-se contribuir com o tema, na perspectiva da Ciência da Informação. Do ponto de vista da investigação, utiliza a pesquisa bibliográfica e etnográfica, em direção à compreensão dos processos de aquisição, armazenamento e transferência de informações sobre plantas, cascas e raízes medicinais comercializadas pelos atores em foco. Verifica que a aquisição e a transmissão desse saber se dá pela observação e pela oralidade no contato cotidiano do trabalho com esses produtos, seguindo armazenado apenas na memória de seus detentores. Por fim, aponta os riscos que permeiam os conhecimentos tradicionais dos(as) erveiros(as) da Feira do Ver-o-Peso e as possibilidades que o tema oferece à Ciência da Informação.

Abstract in English:

Study about the traditional knowledge gotten by the herb sellers of the Ver-o-Peso free market, in Belém, Pará, Brazil. On the whole, it aims to contribute with the theme in the perspective of the Information Science. From the point of view of the investigation, it uses the bibliographic and ethnographic research towards the comprehension of the process of acquisition, warehousing and transference of the information about plants, peels and medicinal roots traded by the authors in focus. It verifies that the acquisition and the transmission of this knowledge occurs by the observation and by the orality in the day-to-day contact of the work with those products, kept only in the memory of the owners. Finally, this study shows the risks that permeate the traditional knowledge of the herb sellers of the Ver-o-Peso free market and the possibilities that the theme offers to the Information Science.

O artigo apresenta os resultados da pesquisa intitulada "Suas histórias me ajudam a crescer". Este estudo teve como objetivo abordar a compreensão das transformações do vínculo afetivo em famílias com crianças na primeira infância, participando do programa PARAMA PARAPA, da Fundação Ratón de Biblioteca do bairro Guadalupe de Medellín. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, optamos por uma metodologia qualitativa, uma orientação hermenêutica, da qual se concluiu que os programas de promoção da leitura ajudam a fortalecer o vínculo, a formação de práticas de criação que favoreceram o crescimento das crianças desde os primeiros anos de vida e a transformação da biblioteca pública em uma instituição social, que contribui para a potencialização do afeto entre crianças e suas famílias. Assim, as estratégias para promover a leitura é um compromisso metodológico valioso para convocar iniciativas destinadas a fortalecer as famílias, o crescimento e o desenvolvimento das crianças.

El artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación titulada "Tus historias me ayudan a crecer". Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo aproximarse a la comprensión de las transformaciones de los vínculos afectivos en familias con niños y niñas en primera infancia, que participan en el Programa PARAMÁ PARAPÁ de la Fundación Ratón de Biblioteca en el barrio Villa de Guadalupe de Medellín. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se optó por una metodología cualitativa, con una orientación hermenéutica, a partir de la cual se pudo concluir que los programas de promoción de lectura contribuyen al fortalecimiento de los vínculos afectivos, a la formación de prácticas de crianza favorecedoras del crecimiento de los niños y las niñas desde los primeros años de vida y a la transformación de la biblioteca pública en una institución social que contribuye a la potenciación del afecto entre los niños y las niñas y sus familias. Así pues, las estrategias de promoción de lectura son una apuesta metodológica valiosa para convocar en torno a iniciativas de fortalecimiento familiar, crecimiento y desarrollo de la infancia.

The article presents the results of the research titled "Your stories help me grow". This work aimed to approximate to the comprehension of the transformations of the affective ties in families with children in early childhood, participating in the program PARAMÁ PARAPÁ of the Fundación Ratón de Biblioteca in the Villa Guadalupe neighborhood in Medellin. The development of research opted for a qualitative methodology, with a hermeneutic orientation which could conclude that reading promotion programs contribute to the strengthening of the affective links, the formation of parenting practices which promote the growth of the children from the earliest years of life and the transformation of the public library in a social institution that contributes to the empowerment of the affection between boys and girls and their families. So that, promotion of reading strategies are thus a valuable methodological commitment to convene on initiatives of family strengthening, growth and development of children.

As migrações conceituais fazem parte do trabalho científico e servem como um catalisador da evolução do conhecimento. Porém, a partir do momento em que se utiliza um conceito oriundo de uma dada ciência em outra, pode haver uma alteração do seu significado, comprometendo a transmissão do conhecimento. Nesse panorama, os pesquisadores em Sistemas de Informação, se vêem frequentemente às voltas com conceitos que migram entre as suas áreas limítrofes, como exemplo o conceito "Rizoma", originalmente criado na botânica, migrado para a filosofia por Deleuze e Guattari e posteriormente utilizado como conceito metodológico em pesquisas de Sistemas de Informação. Partindo da hipótese de que a migração conceitual entre as ciências é realizada sob a égide de diversas formações discursivas que se imbricam para estruturar o conceito migrado, foi utilizado como ferramental metodológico os princípios da "interincompreensão" pertencente à Análise do Discurso de Maingueneau (2008). Pelos artigos analisados foi possível constatar que, ao migrarem o conceito "Rizoma", os pesquisadores em Sistemas de Informação recorrem aos princípios da Autopoiese e do Conexionismo em forma de aliança no âmbito do interdiscurso, mas com uma formação distinta no cerne do conceito nos sentidos de "circularidade" e "virtualidade", o que leva a uma deformação caracterizada como "ecletismo conceitual".

Conceptual Migration is part of scientific work and serves as a catalyst for the advancement of knowledge. However, from the moment it uses a concept originating from one science to another science may be a modification of its meaning, affecting the transmission of knowledge. In this scenario, researches in Information Systems often finds himself grappling with concepts that migrate between their neighboring areas, such as the concept "Rhizome", originally created in botany, migrated to the philosophy by Deleuze and Guattari and later used as a methodological concept in research of Information Systems. Assuming that migration between conceptual science is conducted under the aegis of various discursive formations that intertwine to shape the concept migrated, was used as tooling methodological principles of "interincomprehension" belonging to Maingueneau Discourse Analysis (2008). In the articles analyzed it was found that, by migrating the concept "Rhizome", the researchers of Information Systems resort to principles of Autopoiesis and Connectionism shaped alliance under interdiscourse, but with a distinctive formation at the core of the concept in the senses of "roundness" and "virtual", which leads to a deformation characterized as "eclecticism conceptual"

O surgimento da Web Social proporcionou um espaço virtual de participação dos usuários de bibliotecas. Assim, casos de adoção de redes sociais têm sido observados nas bibliotecas universitárias espanholas desde 2005, quando se publicaram os primeiros artigos científicos para acompanhar este movimento. Considerando o âmbito das bibliotecas de universidades públicas na Espanha, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória para conhecer a situação real do modelo de presença dessas bibliotecas nas redes sociais Facebook e Twitter. Este trabalho investiga um modelo de adoção das redes sociais, considerando aspectos que envolvem criação dos perfis das bibliotecas, publicação de conteúdo, interação com os usuários, criação de conteúdo pelo usuário, estabelecimento de normas de uso e estilo e medição e avaliação dos indicadores sociais para apoiar gestores de bibliotecas universitárias, neste tipo de projeto tecnológico. Apesar do levantamento realizado constatar a adoção das mídias sociais nas bibliotecas universitárias espanholas, observa-se que ainda há necessidade de se oferecer uma experiência para o usuário que propicie a sua participação, através de comentários e outras ações que promovam a interação com o bibliotecário.

Abstract in English:

The rise of the Social Web has provided a virtual space for patron participation thus, cases of adoption of social networks have been observed in the Spanish university libraries since 2005 when it published the first scientific papers to follow this movement. Considering the universe of public university libraries in Spain this paper was performed an exploratory research to know the real situation of the model of presence of these libraries in social networks Facebook and Twitter present in this space. This paper investigates a model considering adoption of social networking aspects that involve the creation of profiles for libraries, publishing content, interaction with users, user generated content, establishing rules of use and style, and measurement and evaluation of social indicators to support the management of university libraries in this type of technological project. Although the survey finds that adoption of social media in University Libraries in Spain shows that there is still a need to provide a user experience that is to afford their participation through comments and other actions that promote the interaction with the librarian.

A Catalogação envolve o estudo dos modelos aplicáveis a registros de bases de dados, assim como a etapa da representação descritiva da produção desses registros. Enquanto tema que vem ganhando cada vez mais espaço de discussão entre professores e profissionais no Brasil, o objetivo deste trabalho é identificar os aspectos contextuais da Organização da Informação e, especificamente, da Catalogação, na Escola de Ciência da Informação (ECI) da UFMG, por meio da observação da trajetória desta Escola na eleição de temas e no modo de abordá-los, buscando fomentar a compreensão de seu momento atual e a memória institucional e nacional. Após a explicitação da abordagem do tema da Catalogação adotada neste trabalho, tratamos: da criação da graduação em Biblioteconomia em 1950, e da constituição da Escola, do percurso curricular deste curso e da análise dos trabalhos de conclusão de curso, realizados até o início da década de 1970; da constituição da pós-graduação, em 1976, seguida de análise das teses e dissertações defendidas entre 1978 (ano da primeira defesa) e 2011; e dos resultados de pesquisa dos professores, indicando alguns destaques. Finalizamos constatando a identificação de dois períodos da Escola: de meados da década de 1950 até o início da década de 1970, marcado por base conceitual e histórica dos temas e pela coerência entre os mesmos; e a partir da década de 1970 aos dias atuais, período em que tiveram início ações assim chamadas de ampliação e de abertura, cujos conteúdos nem sempre se articularam àquilo que se entendia anteriormente como especificidade da área, mas também não se articularam entre si em uma nova configuração epistemológica. Concluímos que a ressignificação dos estudos de Organização da Informação, incluindo a Catalogação, simultaneamente a sua articulação com as demais sub-áreas da Ciência da Informação, deve favorecer a pesquisa e a formação profissional, assim como a contínua consolidação institucional de escolas e cursos.

Cataloging involves the study of models which can be applied to database registers as well as the phase of descriptive representation of the production of these registers. As a theme which has gained more and more space in the discussion among teachers and professionals in Brazil, the aim of this analysis is to identify the contextual aspects of Information Organization and, specifically of Cataloging, in the Escola de Ciência da Informação (ECI) - Information Science School - of UFMG. This analysis has been made observing the pathway of this institution when selecting the themes and the way of approaching them, aiming to encourage the comprehension of its present moment and the institutional and national memory. After making explicit the approach of the theme of Cataloging adopted in this work, we treat about: the creation of the Library Science course in 1950 and the constitution of the School, the curriculum pathway of this course, and the analysis of its final papers which were carried out until the beginning of the 1970s; the constitution of the post graduation course in 1976, followed by the analysis of theses and dissertations presented between 1978 (year of the first presentation) and 2011; and the results of teachers’ researches, standing out some works. At the end, we identified two periods of the School: from the mid-1950s until the beginning of the 1970s, marked by conceptual and historical base of themes and by the coherence among them; and from the 1970s to the present days, when we saw the emergence of actions called amplification and opening, whose contents did not always articulate in relation to what was understood before as specific of the area, nor did they articulate in relation to one another within a new epistemological configuration. We concluded that the resignificance of the studies of Information Organization, including Cataloging, must favor research and professional formation, as well as the continuous institutional consolidation of schools and courses.
