The Controversy of the Use of Psychological Tests by Psychologists and Non Psychologists

Abstract:

Recently, in Brazil, the use of psychological tests by other professionals has been discussed. This issue has become complex especially in our country due to the characteristics of our training in Psychology as well as the laws of the area. In order to contribute to this discussion, I present the factors that I think are necessary to be considered: training, review of instruments, certification and control for the use of tests. Addressing the characteristics of our psychology training, test review processes in Brazil and in the world, I propose possibilities of certification and control for the use of instruments, so that their use is possible to those who have training and qualification for it, not just a registration number in the Professional Council of Psychologist.
