The text refers to science and to knowledge production in psychology, listing the author’s research and teaching activities along 30 years. The analysis begins in the 80’s and gives an account of the studies on the sources of the psychological thinking and on knowledge archeology. In relation to the 90’s, the text explains the studies held on the invention of the psychological and on the ways of subjectivation in Brazil: the practices and knowledge genealogies. The recollection of the texts that were written in the 21st century focus the first exercises of deconstructive readings and its subsequent extensions. Eventually, in relation to perspectives, the author relates the growing interest in what he calls renovation of empirism, that is, the reflection on how to transform experience in a basis for the production of knowledge, either in the psychoanalitical clinic in a strict sense (what includes text reading, communication and discussion with colleagues) or in the extended clinic, out of the office, in communities or in the face of sociocultural processes and phenomena.
