The plant desiccant paraquat was applied on soybean plants at different stages of development 1972 and 75 days after flowering, weekly) and the harvested seeds examined as to fungus incidence. The data showed that the incidence of seed deteriorating fungi was always lower in the treated plots and increased when the harvest was delayed, mainly in the untreated plots.
