Translation, adaptation and exploration of psychometric properties of tecnostress scale (RED/TIC)

The scale of Technostress - RED/TIC assess the technostress from a theoretical model of four dimensions: Fatigue; Anxiety; Disbelief, and Ineffectiveness. This article examines the validity factor and internal consistency of the RED/TIC. The sample consisted of 368 workers who use ICT. Confirmatory factor analysis has been carried through the LISREL 8. Results show that the theoretical model fit the data satisfactorily: (χ²(98) = 269,79, p< 0,000), GFI = 0,967, RMSEA = 0,07, NNFI = 0.98, CFI = 0,98, PNFI = 0,79. Cronbach's alpha values for all subscales were higher than 0.70. The results show that ICT offers RED-factorial validity and internal consistency appropriate to assess the technoestress in Brazilian professionals.
