An experience of injustice, suffering and retaliation in the context of a public organization of the State of Goiás

The study had the purpose to analyze the workers' awareness that the when organizations are unjust, they can generate suffering, provoking reactions of retaliation. The accomplishment of the research counted with the participation of workers from a public organization of the State of Goiás, who were submitted to a semi-structured interview. The content analyses revealed six category-syntheses: environment at work, types of injustice, feelings towards injustice, reactions when facing injustice, objectives of the reactions, and judgement about worker's reactions. It is concluded that the injustice generates suffering and this, in a certain way, plays a role of mediator for the retaliation behaviors. It also demonstrates that the worker's reactions can be considered types of strategies to face suffering dissatisfaction originated from unjust experiences
